The present committee is determined to sustain this worthy cause and appeal to the public to please consider becoming involved, either by subscribing to Friends of Umgeni for a once of R50 payment, (see Subscriptions and Donations) or by becoming a committee member if you reside in the Howick / Pietermaritzburg area. The committee primarily functions as custodians of the monies donated, facilitating the funding of projects and outings. The committee meets bi-monthly for an hour and a half.
